Friday Wrap Up – 8/24/12

What a week! First off, I just want to say thank you to all the wonderful fans of RockCriesOut.com that read, share and comment on all the content we put out here and on our Facebook page. You guys are amazing, and honestly, really help give me a drive to continue doing what I’m doing.

So, what’s happened this week? Tons. Facebook views and likes have jumped meaning that more people are coming in contact with the artists we follow here are RockCriesOut.com. I hope and pray this trend continues as RockCriesOut continues to follow Indie bands and seeks even more across the world that are out proclaiming Christ’s name!

Speaking of bands we follow, I added LOTS of new bands to the “follow” links, so check them out. There’s everything from rock to alternative to rap to metal to worship. A little something for everyone.

We also got a brand spankin’ new look to the site. Let us know what you think about the new design layout and the awesome banner provided by a dear friend of mine in the comments below.

So, enough about RockCriesOut, how about those bands?! Well, for starters, Consider Us Rescued announced this week they are working on new content and we can’t WAIT to hear what they come out with. Also, posting videos on their Facebook page were Scripture11, showcasing their song “This Sickness” with Troy Fonseca from And The Hero Prevails. Both videos are epic, and you should check them out!

Yungtown is also revving up to work on a new album, but he needs your help. You can help him by donating to the cause by following the link here. His goal is $5,000 and his set deadline is only 49 days away. Help out an Indie artist produce some great music!

In other news we have several bands gearing up to play at the Second Annual Letot Jamfest on September 1, 2012 at Abundant Life Church in Plano, Texas. Headliner Paper Tigers is teaming up with Unveiled, Bishop Ridge, This City Awaits, Dälom, Matta-Fact and E. Daniels to help raise money for The Letot Center in Dallas, Texas. If you live in or near Plano, you should really check out this talent studded show. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased here.

Now this is only a fraction of what happens in the world of Indie Rock and I wish I had time to go over everything, but I simply don’t. That’s why you need to book mark www.rockcriesout.com and go like the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RockCriesOut so you can stay up to date on all the latest Christian Indie artist and bands! Also, don’t be afraid to check out the other articles and devotions on the site. I try to make everything relevant to everyone and not just people interested in music. Share it with friends and help us spread the name of Jesus Christ!
